We fish for Winter Steelhead on various coastal and inland rivers. For each trip, we analyze the water conditions and fish numbers, and then travel to the best river location. Some Oregon Steelhead fishing locations include the Rogue River, Umpqua River, Coquille River, Elk River and Sixes River.
Oregon Winter Steelhead Drift Boat Fishing
Oregon Steelhead fishing is done from a drift boat, usually using light spinning tackle. Fly fishing can be very productive as well. Each angler may retain a limit of two hatchery Steelhead per day. These fish are incredibly feisty and are one of the most exhilarating species to catch. Expect wild runs, high-flying action and plenty of fight.
